Allied Health Science Examination in Peradeniya today - No change in student's decision to abstain
Peradeniya University Vice Chancellor Professor Athula Senaratne says that the Allied Health Science Faculty examinations will begin today as scheduled.
The Vice Chancellor said that if students want, they could participate in the classes and have the examinations postponed.
However the Vice Chancellor also said that if the students didn’t turn up for the examination they would be considered as having failed the examination.
However IUSF convener Najith Indika told our news team that Allied Health Science Students would not participate in the examination that would begin today and that if they were declared as having failed the examination, the federation would rise against it.
Meanwhile parallel to the fast the students have begun against the limiting of the Allied Health Sciences Degree to three years, a massive protest and walk has been organized in Colombo today.
That is by the Government Nursing Staff union and the Paramedical Services Trade union joint federation.
