President Mahinda Rajapaksa stressed that the government has no necessity to hide the development process of the country.

He said the government has perfectly put forward the development process to the country.

While addressing the releasing ceremony of 2013 Annual Report of the Ministry of Finance in Colombo today, President stated that the government has made considerable changes in education and will not curtail free education.

The President also emphasized that decisions are not taken with mere intention of protecting the government or power.

He further stated that there have been protests against building the Norochcholai and Upper Kotmale Power plants, but the government acted with no consideration to retain the votes or safeguard the government.

Speaking further at the ceremony the President asked the Ministerial Secretaries not to issue circulars arbitrarily and create inconveniences to the people.
