A group of UNP MPs joined the second of a series of inspection tours organized by back benchers of the party today.
Ten MPs including Dr. Harsha de Silva, Niroshan Perera, Ajith P Perera, Eran Wickramarathna and S. Yogarajan had joined the inspection tour today.
A group of government representatives waited at the entrance of the power plant as the Opposition MPs arrived at the premises.

Our correspondent said that special police teams have also been deployed in the area to beef up security during the UNP MPs tour in the area.
Having inspected the plant and its contructions, the MPs had a discussion with a group of CEB engineers and officials for about two hours to verify certain matters with regard to the plant site.
On a previous occasion, a group of UNP MPs visited Hambantota on a similar inspection of the Mattala Airport and Hambantota port on April 17.
The tour was subject to many controversies after objections were raised against the MPs during the tour in the area.
