Cabinet approves to sign Russian agreement
The Cabinet has given its approval to a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Russian Federation to control crimes including terrorism.
Key objectives of the memorandum include preventing drug trafficking and human trafficking.
The Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed between the Ministry of Law and Order and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Cabinet also approved publishing the regulations imposed under the Control of Pesticides Act today.
This will prevent registering substandard pesticides.
The Cabinet also approved a welfare fund in aid of retired journalists, artistes, and writers, which was allocated with a starting capital of 50 million rupees by the National Budgetary Department.
