A proposal from the government to the TNA.
The Chairman of the special Parliament Select Committee appointed to settle the national problem, Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said that the TNA can submit their proposals unless they participate in the committee sittings.
Speaking to our news team the minister said that the committee is ready to consider such written submissions.
The President appointed the special Parliament Select Committee in order to create an environment to enable all communities to live as one nation.
The committee which tasked to make political and constitutional recommendations is comprised of 31 parliamentarians.
However the 13 nominees of the TNA, the UNP, Democratic National Alliance and the SLMC have not yet participated in the committee sittings.
Meanwhile Committee Secretary and Deputy Secretary General of Parliament Neel Iddawela told our news team that the government nominees are participating in committee sessions.
He also said that the committee is currently receiving public views with regard to solve the national problem.
