False allegations cannot prevent the government’s journey; President.-Video
President Mahinda Rajapaksa has stressed that false allegations cannot prevent the government’s journey as the government is built on the people’s trust.
He said that false allegations have a short lifespan so the government would not waste time replying to them.
He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony to set up 250 Technical Education Units under the project to set up one thousand Mahindodaya Schools throughout the country held at the Lumbini Vidyalaya in Colombo today.
Speaking further at the ceremony the President said that the government would systematically fulfill its duty for education and will create an education system that will suite the nation.
Meanwhile foundation stones were laid to build Mahindodaya Technical Education Units in the nine Provinces.
Having opened the Technical Education Unit of Thurston College, President Rajapaksa joined an inspection tour in the school premises and enquired from students of their progress.
The President’s Media Unit stated that later the President also opened the new indoor stadium of the school.
Several parliamentarians including Colombo District MP R. Dumindha Silva also participated in the event
