Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakody in Parliament stated that SLMC Leader Rauf Hakeem is not considered as a part leader in the chambers.

Deputy Speaker made this statement when Minister Rauff Hakeem made a request to make a special statement in Parliament as a part leader.

Minister Hakeem questioned as to why a front seat is given to him considering him as a party leader.

Deputy Speaker in response stated that the speaker has only identified 4 individuals as party leaders in Parliament.
