The number of persons affected by the inclement weather has gone up to 100 thousand 734.

The Disaster Management Centre said that this group belongs to 26,343 families.

People in nine districts were affected by the inclement weather.

The Disaster Management Centre said further that 25 thousand 809 displaced persons were still staying at 128 camps.

Disaster Management Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that the Government had disbursed  a sum of 73 million rupees to District Secretaries for speedily providing relief to people affected by heavy rainfall.
