Reply from university teachers to Minister Bandula Gunawardana.
The University Teachers have given a reply to the statement Education Minister Bandula Gunawardhana had made in parliament yesterday saying that he was prepared to ask pardon from the Opposition MPs if it was proved that he had by a fax informed Examinations Commissioner to make a change in the A/Level question papers.
Thirty-nine University Teachers who are the main examiners who assessed the A/Level question paper had sent a letter about this to the examinations commissioner recently.
In the letter they had said that the Education Minister had sent a fax to the Economics New Syllabus Revision Committee requesting that the committee considers changing a proposed answer of the 2012 A/L examination.
Education Minister Bandula Gunawardhana had made his response with regard to this in parliament yesterday.
