Uni. invigilators responsible for A/L question paper's challenge education Minister.
The University teachers responsible for preparing Advance Level question papers have posed a challenge to Education Minister Bandula Gunawardana.
The university teachers challenged the minister to obtain the expertise of any scholar and get this year’s Economics paper done without adhering to the theories contained in two books written by Professor Dani Athapaththu.
39 university teachers recently accused the minister for removing three senior professors from Economics question paper preparation, and later tasking the job on the management faculty.
Sending a letter to the authorities, the university teachers stated that the minister sent a fax message to the Committee which was appointed to make amendment to the new syllabus of Economics subject, and, asked them to consider the change of a reply of the Advanced Level examination in 2012.
Minister Bandula Gunawardana made a special statement in parliament yesterday with regard to this issue, and one of the university teachers who signed the particular letter to the authorities and senior lecturer of Ruhuna University Nandasiri Keembiya Hetti responded to the minister.
