Indian political party to prepare its manifesto in Sri Lanka.
One of India’s main political parties Indian Janatha Dal has decided to come to Sri Lanka to prepare its party manifesto.
Accordingly about 60 representatives including Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and State representatives will come to Sri Lanka this week end.
Janatha Dal Party’s Karnataka State Chief H.D. Kumaraswami said that holding the party meeting in Sri Lanka is cheaper than having it in New Delhi.
Meanwhile Fishermen staged a protest in Rameshwaram against arresting their fellowmen for encroaching into Sri Lankan waters.
Members of 11 Fishermen Associations wearing mouth bands joined a parade in the city.
However after a two-day protest, Rameshwaram fishermen are expected to start work on Saturday.
Almost all Indian fishermen arrested by Sri Lankan authorities have already been released on the orders of the President.
