Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said the government took its own decisions with regard to the Geneva issues in the past.

Later he termed the government’s sudden change of mind to check the parliamentary opinion on the issue as a political gimmick.

He also said that his party will respond to the issue only after studying the response to their amendments which were submitted to parliament secretary general today.

When our news team contacted the SLMC regarding their stand on the UN issue, its General Secretary MP Hassan Ali said that a decision will be taken during the parliamentary group meeting on Monday.
