President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is in Bolivia to participate in the G77 conference held bilateral talks with his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales yesterday.
The President said that his visit was a stepping stone to start bilateral and economic relations with South American countries.
He also said the policy of his government is to start friendships with new nations.
When President Morales has requested his Sri Lankan counterpart to send a team of apparel experts to open garment industry in Bolivia, President Rajapaksa has consented to the Bolivian leader’s request.
President’s Media Unit stated that Bolivian President also explored the possibility of importing cinnamon and sharing hydro power expertise.
