Aluthgama - Beruwala police curfew will be removed at 8 this morning.
Police media spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that the curfew that had been imposed on Aluthgama and Beruwala would be removed at 8 this morning.
SSP said that the time of re-imposing it would be announced according to requirement.
The police media spokesman said that by now 45 persons had been arrested with regard to the incident.
The SLFP has issued a media release with regard to the incident that had taken place at Aluthgama.
The communiqué says that the President and the party were paying serious attention with regard to the incident.
Recurrence of such incidents should totally be prevented.
Similarly the SLFP says that no extremist force will be allowed to break down co-existence in the country.
It is a social tragedy to think only of protecting religious identity breaking down human values.
The SLFP says that it seriously suspects that a group acting with an evil aim of throwing Sri Lanka again into a social political confusion is behind this incident.
