Government Analyst visits burned down Panadura Nolimit showroom.-Video
Deputy Government Analyst Ariyananda Weli-Anga inspected the Panadura No Limit store today after it caught fire last Saturday.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana told our news team that the exact reason for the fire could be disclosed after the Government’s Analyst’s report is released in the next few days.
Though Government Analysts visited the site in Panadura on Saturday for investigations they were not able to conduct tests as the showroom was already on fire.
The Police Media Spokesman said the government analyst would decide if the store caught fire due to natural causes or sabotage.
Meanwhile Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peries remanded five Muslim nationals until the 27th of this month for threatening staff of the Wellawatte, No-Limit showroom and demanding them to close down the shop.
Police acted on a tip-off and arrested the five Muslims while they were causing chaos in Wellawatta by forcing Muslim shops in the area to close down.
The suspects who used a three-wheeler and motorcycle for travel had threatened No-limit staff to close the showroom as other store owners had done.
The CID informed the court that the scenes of the suspects threatening No-limit staff have been captured on CCTV cameras.
Meanwhile the four suspects arrested last night in connection with the recent incidents in Beruwala and Aluthgama have been remanded until the 7th of July.
