Three LTTE suspects who were arrested while filming the official residence of former President Chandrika Kumaratunga on Independence Avenue were remanded today.

A Sub-Inspector Nimal Piyatissa attached to the President’s Security Division arrested the three suspects while they were filming the former President’s residence on their mobile phones around 7.30 last evening.

Later investigations were handed over to the Cinnamon Garden police, and police recovered photographs and video clips of LTTE suicide cadres on the suspects’ mobile phone.

The Terrorism Investigation Division, the National Intelligence Services together with the Cinnamon Garden Police are investigating the motive of the filming of the former President’s official residence.
