A Chennai court has issued notices on authorities to consider a petition submitted by Minister Douglas Devananda.

The petition has been submitted to consider an arrest warrant which had been issued on a group of EPRLF members after a shooting in which five persons got injured at Choolemedu area of Chennai in 1986.

Minister Douglas Devananda’s name was also among the suspects and charges have been filed against him as well.

When the case was taken before the Court, Judge T.S. Sivagnanam issued notices on authorities to consider the requests made by the petitioners.

When Our news team contacted Minister Devananda , he said his lawyers will appear for his group when the case is taken for hearing on July 9.
