3 MOU's between Sri Lanka and Maldives signed
The Governments of Sri Lanka and Maldives signed three very important agreements during the official visit of President Mahinda Rajapaksa to Male.
The Government of Maldives and Sri Lanka held official talks, led by President of Maldives Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and President Mahinda Rajapakse.
The three agreements were signed at the President's Office yesterday following the talks.
A Memorandum of Understanding on Health Cooperation was signed by Maldivian Minister of Health and Sri Lankan Minister of External Affairs, Prof. G. L. Peiris.
MoU on strengthening cooperation between Board of Investment of Sri Lanka and Ministry of Economic Development of Maldives was signed by Maldivian Minister of Economic Development.
Arrangement on Search and Rescue was also signed by Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister Peiris.
President Yameen and President Mahinda Rajapaksa were in attendance at the signing ceremony.
