An army regiment to reconstruct damaged houses in Aluthgama and Beruwala.

Three Armed Forces led by Sri Lanka Army have initiated a special project to rebuild the damaged houses during the recent incidents in Beruwala and Aluthgama.

Major General Udaya Medawala stated this special project introduced in the form of a Regiment is comprised of 15 officers and other officers of 780 ranks.

A discussion with the households who were affected during the Beruwala and Aluthgama incidents was held with the participation of Minister Gunarathna Weerakoon at Darga Town in Beruwala this afternoon.

Major General Udaya Medawala further described about the special reconstruction project during the meeting with affected households of Beruwala and Aluthgama.
