At least 10 people have been killed and 14 injured in an explosion in the northern Nigerian city of Bauchi.

The blast, which took place on Friday evening occurred in a building, widely known as a brothel.

The cause of the blast is not clear, although Islamist militant group Boko Haram have repeatedly attacked Bauchi.

It came, just two days after a bomb in the capital Abuja killed at least 22.

More than 10,000 people are estimated to have been killed since Boko Haram's violent campaign began in 2009.
