A group of medical officers charge that the annual election of office-bearers of the GMOA held last Saturday was illegal.

A group of doctors who had come forward for these offices, point out that the GMOA had elected persons for these posts violating the injunction imposed by court.

The doctors concerned say that the persons elected for positions at the GMOA annual office-bearer election under such conditions could not be accepted.

Our news team inquired about this allegation from the GMOA.

Responding to our query Dr. Nalinda Herath, a newly elected assistant secretary, said that if the election of office-bearers was illegal, any person could take legal action
