Extremists do not do any justice even to their own religion;President-Video
President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that extremists do not do any justice even to their own religion.
He said it would be an insult to one’s own religion if he or she talks against any other religion or let down them.
The President expressed these views today during a ceremony to hand over the reconstructed Methodist Church in Galle Fort to its followers.
President Rajapaksa also said whatever the religion one belongs to, all should honor their motherland.
A special mass to invoke god’s blessing on President Rajapaksa was also held during the ceremony.
Meanwhile addressing another ceremony held at the Poddala Traditional Wood carving village of Bope in Galle today, President Rajapaksa said his government’s policy is not to stop development of the country in fear of public criticism.
He said this bold action is the main difference between the ruling government and the Opposition.
