Development won't be stopped in fear of criticism: President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that the current government will not refrain from developing the country in fear of been criticized by the public.

The President stated that this was the difference between the government and the opposition.

President Rajapaksa expressed these views at a function that was held at the traditional village of woodcraft in Poddala – Bope – Galle yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Methodist church at Galle Fort which was reconstructed was handed over to devotees under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The President stated that irrespective of ones religion, everyone should respect their homeland.
