Another 37 TN fishermen released on Attorney Generals advice.

37 Tamil Nadu fishermen who encroached to Sri Lankan waters were released today.

Mannar District Fisheries Office stated that the released fishermen were handed over to the Indian Deputy High Commission in Jaffna.

The Tamil Nadu encroachers were arrested on the 28th of June and on the 5th of July near the Talai Mannar international maritime boundaries.

Later the court ordered to remand them till the 15th of this month.

However Mannar District Fisheries Office stated that the Tamil Nadu encroachers were released on the instruction of the Attorney General’s instructions.
