The verdict of British National murder at Tangalle on the 18th.
Colombo Chief High Court Judge Rohini Walgama stated that the verdict of the controversial Tangalle case that was heard for nearly 2 and a half years will be issued on the 18th of this month.
This was stated during today’s court hearing of the case where a British national was killed and his girlfriend was gang raped.
The main allegation against the defendants is the murder of Khuram Shaikh and the raping of Victoria Alexandra.
17 allegations have been claimed against them including unlawful assembly, damaging the hotel, stealing alcohol, possessing an automatic firearm without a license.
A case was filed against Tangalle Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Sampath Chandra-pushpa Vidanapathirana and 6 others.
