The two night mail trains running along Udarata railway line have been cancelled due to the danger of trees falling and landslides occurring following adverse weather.

According to the Railway Main Control Room, the night mail train which leaves Colombo Fort at 8pm and the night mail train which leaves Badulla at 5.45pm have been cancelled.

However, the main control room further stated that a special train will leave Colombo Fort at 8pm and run only up to Nanu-oya station.

Railway Chief Controller B.V. Gunapala told our news team that the train service will resume once the adverse weather cease.
