Paramedics strike successful: Trade unions Hospital functions are normal.-Video
The Para medics attached to hospitals in Uva, Sabaragamuwa and North Western Provinces launched a strike this morning on six demands including the implementation of promotion scheme.
Para Medical Service Federation President Dharmakeerthi Epa said X-Ray services, Laboratory services and issuing drugs have come to a standstill due to the strike.
Meanwhile Rathnapural Provincial Hospital Director Dr. S.P.A.L. Ranaweera said the hospitals are functioning with the help of alternative methods.
Puttalam Base Hospital Administrative Officer Saman Hemachandra told our news team his hospital also functions as usual.
At the same time, Kurunegala Teaching Hospital Director Dr. Palitha Yapa said the hospital functions as usual amid the disruptions followed by the strike.
