2 persons arrested with venison in Hambantota

The Wildlife officers arrested 2 persons yesterday who possessed venison in Koho-lan-kala area, Hambantota yesterday.

It was revealed that animals are hunted and sold in several areas when they enter villages in search of water during the drought season prevailing in the area.

Nearly 25 kilograms of venison was found in their possession.

According to our correspondent, the two suspects are residents of Hambantota area.
