DCD threat still persists; says Minister Patali.

Technology and Research Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka stated that despite eliminating the controversy of milk powder containing DCD, the consumers are still vulnerable to the risk through milk products.

The Minister expressed his views on this regard while addressing a media briefing held today at Colombo Industrial Technological Institute.

The minister revealed that a doubt has occurred after the inspection of Dansels during the Poson season.

The Media briefing was held to express views regarding the March for Nutrition staged by the Industrial Technological Institute regarding nutritious food.

Expressing his views the Minister stated that if the milk powder manufacturers are still selling the banned milk powder with DCD to the market, they will take measures to prevent it.
