Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said investigations into the alleged abuse of an eleven-year old school girl of Uri village at Karainagar in Jaffna are not completed.

The seven navy sailors arrested in connection with the incident last Friday were produced before the court in Jaffna.

The suspected soldiers were given bail as the victim was unable to identify them during the identification parade.

The Police Media Spokesman said the case was put off until the 23rd of this month when it was taken for hearing today.

Meanwhile Navy Media Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnasuriya said in addition to police investigations, navy have initiated a separate investigation into the incident.
