Term test question papers in the South disputed
A term test question paper dispute was reported today from the Southern Province as well.
The first incident was reported from the schools of Galle Education Circuit where an old Tamil Language question paper was distributed for this year term test.
Teacher Unions charge that the Tamil Language question paper this time was distributed earlier among Year Nine students during the mid year test last year.
Meanwhile Year-11 students of certain schools in the Southern Province have not received the Tamil Language question paper.
Our news team contacted the Southern Provincial Education Office to comment on the allegation and a senior officer said those schools had been informed of the matter beforehand.
Several incidents of leaking question papers were reported in the recent past.
On one occasion, the Maths and the Sinhala papers of Piliyandala Education Circuit believed to be leaked and discussed in a private education institute was reported.
Another incident was reported from Negombo where Year-10 Maths paper was leaked beforehand.
In addition, Year-10 and Year-11 students of Giri-Ulla Education Circuit schools were inconvenienced after they were given Science papers instead of the History paper yesterday.
