Tamil Nadu fishermen preparing to arrive in Sri lanka on the 2nd.
A group of fishermen from Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu who claims that they always face inconvenience due to the alleged breaching of local maritime boundary, intend to visit Sri Lanka on the 2nd of August.
They state that they hope to carry out fishing activities by surrendering to Sri Lankan authorities or on amicable terms.
Rameswaran fishermen took this decision following a meeting held among fishermen yesterday.
A leader of Rameswaram fishing unions stated that they will take measures to hand over the licenses and other documents issued for the fishing vessels from India on the 28th of this month.
They further stated that they intend to enter Sri Lankan maritime boundary in boats with their families, and with white flags hoisted.
