Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said five police teams have been deployed to trace the 4-year old boy abducted at Meegalawa on Monday.

Four masked men who rode motor cycles have abducted the boy around 7.45pm on Monday and police announced that they require public assistance to trace the boy.

Police request the pubic to contact North Western Provincial DIG Jagath Abeysiri Gunawardana on his phone No: 071 813 7007 or Nikaweratiya SSP Chandana Alahakoon on 077 47 84 635 if anybody knows any information about the child or his abductors.

The police Media Spokesman said 48 hours have passed since the incident occurred on Monday but no information is received as yet.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said five police teams have been deployed to trace the 4-year old boy abducted at Meegalawa on Monday.

No information even after 40 hours since the abduction of Meegalawa child.

Police stated they need public assistance to trace the abducted 4-year old boy.

Four masked men who rode motor cycles abducted the 4-year boy of a rice mill owner of Meegalaawa in Galgamuwa last Monday.

A senior police officer who has been conducting investigations into the abduction told our news team they cannot confirm the motive of the abduction as the kidnappers have not demanded even a ransom from the victim’s relatives yet.

A child kidnapped in Galgamuwa not yet found

A 4 year old son of a businessman in Hunu-polagama, Meega-laa-wa, Galgamuwa who was kidnapped by a group of persons has not been found yet.

The group of persons who kidnapped the child visited the residence of the businessman at 7.45 day before yesterday night, saying that they wished to meet the businessman.

The 4 persons who arrived in 2 motorbikes with their faces covered, kidnapped the son of the businessman.

Police media spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana request from the public to notify the nearest police if they happen to know any information regarding the child.
