The Commissioner has especially reminded that nomination should be handed over in a peaceful manner as the GCE A/Level examination begins on August 5th.

The main political parties are expected to hand over nominations of their candidates on the 5th and 6th of August.

Meanwhile UNP requested the Election Commissioner to introduce a program to enable postal voters to cast their vote at a polling booth.
