Vaas Gunawardana's son makes telephone calls to a PC from his cell.
CID investigations revealed that Business tycoon Mohammad Siyam murder suspect Ravindu Gunawardana has exchanged telephone conversations with North Western Provincial Councilor Piyumal Herath.
This information was revealed today when a confidential report was submitted to the Colombo High Court by the Attorney General.
The report disclosed that Ravindu Gunawardana, who is the son of main suspect of Mohammad Siyam murder case and former DIG Vass Gunawardana, has often kept contacts with several persons including his mother over the phone.
Appearing on behalf of the Attorney General, Deputy Solicitor General Ayesha Jinasena requested the Court to remand the suspect for another three months.
However the lawyers appeared for the suspect objected the request as the suspect has been in remand from August 7th, 2013 to-date.
Meanwhile the Colombo High Court stated it will decide whether the suspect is given bail when the case is called again on the 6th of this month.
