The roads which were obstructed in Maligawatta area due to a protest staged by a Muslim organization in front of Maligawatta Police this evening, have been reopened for traffic by now.

The protest was organized by Tawheed Jamaad organization to condemn the attacks carried out by Israel against Palestine.

Due to this reason, the police took measures to temporarily close several roads extending from Imraam junction, Maligawatta up to Jumma Majeed junction as well as Sangaraja roundabout.

Later the protesters ended their protest and addressed the people who were gathered around.
