30650 qualify for postal voting in UVA

30 thousand 657 applicants have been qualified for postal votes of the Uva Provincial Council election.

19 thousand 164 government servants out of 25 thousand 873 applications from the Badulla district have been qualified for postal voting.

Meanwhile 10 thousand 672 government servants out of 16 thousand 164 applications from the Moneragala district have been qualified for postal voting.

The Election Secretariat stated that the sealed packets of postal voting cards will be posted on the 25th of this month.

Postal voting of the Uva Provincial Council election will be held on September 4th and 5th, and those who fail to cast their vote on these two days could do so at regional election office on September 11th.

Deputy Election Commission M.M. Mohammad stated that other Colombo based government servants from Uva Province can cast their vote at the Election Secretariat at Rajagiriya.
