Owner of the controversial Bambalapitiya beauty parlor where a female doctor died of an anti-aging jab, Dr. Nimal Gamage has been allegedly evading income tax.

This was revealed when police gave evidence before Colombo Additional magistrate Augusta Atapattu today.

At the same time, it was revealed that the particular anti-aging injection was given to the deceased by a female assistant who has no qualification at all to give injections.

Giving evidence before the court, Bambalapitiya police stated Dr. Gamage had obtained a permit for his beauty parlor through illegal means.

He had charged thousands of rupees from each customer though the place was not suitable to give such treatments.

Police said Dr. Gamage had run the business for over five years and evaded paying income tax properly.
