The girl involved in the controversial slapping incident in Wariyapola is preparing to file a fundamental rights case against police for arresting her.
Controversial girl Tilini Amalka’s lawyer Lakshan Dias told our news team he will file the case within the next two weeks.
However Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana told our news team that it still remains a question in Sri Lankan law whether a person can use power against another person when the latter tries to make oral sexual harassments.
He said by submitting a petition of this nature to the Supreme Court, people will be able to get an interpretation with regard to future incidents of this nature.
