Government -TNA Talks Likely After Modi's Advice

With the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging the Tamil National Alliance to begin talks with the Sri Lankan government to find a solution to the Tamil question and initiate steps for development work in the Northern Province, the TNA signalled its readiness to resume the discussions.

TNA MP, M A Sumanthiran, said Modi had urged resumption of bilateral talks between the TNA and the Lankan government.

TNA parliamentarian M.A.Sumanthiran told a news conference that they did not have a hidden agenda and were strongly committed to finding a solution to the political question.
