8 individuals who opened foreign parcels in the Central Mail Exchange,arrested
The police have arrested eight individuals for opening three foreign packages and stealing their content in Central Mail Exchange.
Police Media spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that the group arrested by the Fort police includes a postmaster, a postmaster of the Central Mail Exchange, an office assistant, substitute worker, and four other individuals.
The superintendant of the foreign mail unit in the central mail exchange has lodged a complaint at the Fort police stating that when they opened 3 parcels sent from Dubai on the 3rd of May, to inspect its contents as it was not collected by the owners, they found newspapers and concrete pieces inside.
