Buddhist monk passes away after a three-wheeler fell into a precipice

A Buddhist monk passed away when a three-wheeler veered off from Madolsima road in Passara, Badulla and fell into a 20 foot deep precipice last evening.

According to the police, the driver of the three-wheeler was critically injured.

The deceased monk has been identified as the Chief incumbent of Gerandi-ella Vihara, Venerable Ampare Sumana-jothi Thera.
