Warakapola court allows to proceed the case against Senior Minister Athauda

The Warakapola Magistrate Court decided to hear the case against 18 suspects including senior minister Athauda Seneviratne for allegedly destroying a drinking water scheme at Kohombadeniya and causing damage of one million and 80 thousand rupees.

The Warakapola Magistrate ordered the suspects including the senior minister to appear in the court on the 11th of February 2015.

The senior minister together with other suspects were present in court today, and the magistrate asked the two parties whether they would like to settle the case amicably.

Later the magistrate allowed the case to proceed as the respondents did not agree to pay one million rupees in damages .
