CAA Chief proposes amendment to Consumer Act

The Thunhela National Movement visited the Consumer Affairs Authority today to inquire about  the food available in the market which is not suitable for consumption.

The Thunhela National Movement’s General Secretary Venerable Omare Kassapa Thera enlightened the authority regarding the poisonous food and the illnesses caused by them as well as the necessary steps to take.

In response, the Director of Consumer Affairs Authority Roomy Marzook stated that they will make amendments to the Consumer Act in due course.
