22 official polling cards meant for the Uva Provincial Council election have been found this morning in a house in Kandaketiya area in Badulla.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said the house owner has been arrested in connection with the incident.

During questioning, the house owner has told police that his postman delivered the voting cards to his house.

The Police Media Spokesman said the Kandaketiya police expect to question the postman as well.

Meanwhile election observers stated the postal voting is taking place peacefully for the second day today.

The Paffrel Organization stated the voter turnout is at high level.
