Main political parties hold final election rallies today
Main political parties which are contesting the Uva Provincial Council election have reached the last stage of their propaganda rallies.
Addressing a public gathering held at Bandarawela town yesterday, UNP National Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said the government is now frightened before the imminent election defeat therefore it has reduced the prices of certain goods.
At the same time, addressing the party final rally held in Moneragala this morning, JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva expressed his views about the government’s decision to cut the electricity bill.
Meanwhile participating an election meeting held in Mahiyanganaya yesterday, Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said the government needs a period of time to continuously put its development agenda into practice.
