President to address UN General Assembly on Wednesday.-Video
President Mahinda Rajapaksa left last evening on a six-day visit to New York to participate in the United Nations General Assembly.
President Rajapaksa will participate in the general debate of the UNGA and is scheduled to speak on Wednesday.
This is the seventh time the President is attending the global gathering of leaders.
Meanwhile, President Mahinda Rajapaksa launched a special website to focus on both the President’s and Sri Lanka's activities and engagements with the United Nations System.
The President launched the site prior to his participation at the 69th United Nations General Assembly in New York this week.
Having been a member state since 1955, Sri Lanka has and continues to engage with all U.N. systems.
All information pertaining to President Rajapaksa’s participation at the 69th United Nations General Assembly and other official events taking place in New York will be made available in trilingual formats in a timely manner via this website.
