Trial on Economics question paper begins; Examinations commissioner appears before HRC.
A Human Rights Commission member Dr. Prathibha Mahanama Hewa said that all parties concerned agreed to amicably settle the disputes of the controversial Economics Exam Paper of 2014.
Dr. Mahanama Hewa told this to our news team after hearing the petition filed by the Lanka Teachers Association today.
10 University teachers who mark Economic Exam Paper wrote to the Examination Commissioner General on 10th of August and said there were 15 errors in the Question paper this year.
Based on that letter by university teachers, Lanka Teachers Association submitted a petition to the Human Rights Commission mentioning the said university dons as witnesses.
The petitioner has named Education Ministry Secretary and Examination Commissioner as respondents.
Accordingly Examination Commissioner W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara appeared before the Human rights Commission today.
