Lady Ridgway hospital ready to investigate the amputation of a child's finger.

The administration of Lady Ridgeway hospital for children has decided to request the Health Ministry to investigate the amputation of a finger of a 3-year old boy.

Hospital director Dr. Linton Padmasiri told our news team that he would write to the ministry requesting the investigation.

The 3-year old boy of Bingiriya was admitted to Lady Ridgeway hospital due to a bruise in his right hand finger last Tuesday.

Having diagnosed the cells in the bruise were dead, doctors have decided to amputate the child’s finger intending to save the child from danger.

Later the pediatrician was criticized by various factions but the hospital director told our news team that there is no substantial cause to prove the diagnose was wrong.

However to clear this doubts, the hospital director said that he requested the Health Ministry to investigate the incident.
