President Mahinda Rajapaksa says the international community has also accepted that the rights of children in this country have been well protected.

Addressing the national ceremony to mark the World’s Children’s Day held today at the Maharagama National Youth Centre, the President said that

Sri Lanka has been added to the list of world’s best countries suitable for children to live.

The Ministry of Child Development and Women Affairs organized the ceremony under the theme “Protect us with love”.

The first flag issued to mark the World’s Children’s Day was pinned on the President and the commemorative stamp was also presented to the President during the ceremony.
